In just a few accelerated nonstop months, Girl Drink Drunk has released their first self-titled CD and are currently working on a second four song hardcore EP. Between studio sessions they’ve played Chicago, Memphis and St. Louis with more shows on the way in Madison and Champaign.
Veteran Chicago musician/misfits, Mike Meadows and Krista Khrome lay down a grinding rhythm to both double time songs and plodding sludge. Fast or slow, it’s all about energy.
Krista doesn’t just crank out rat-pedal drenched bass noise; she sings too. Together with Ann Tastic, they form a demonic dual diva attack of tag team terror that makes the raunchiest male vocalist sound like a hard-nippled bedwetting girl scout.
Band synergy continues with the Ann & Pete Tastic story. Ten years of songwriting and playing together has created a bond like a conjoined twin to its blemished fetal counterpart.
